About David
Kia Ora! I’m David Tahere.
I’m a singer who really loves teaching and helping other singers find ease in their story telling. I call the singers I’m fortunate to work with “Fearless Ones,” because I really believe that you have to be fearless to do what we do.
I love teaching musical theatre, classical, and popular styles - I help singers find sustainable, authentic singing that helps them tell stories more effectively. My students have been accepted to top graduate and undergraduate programs (like Eastman, CCM, and Indiana University), and are working on Broadway national tours.
I am a lifelong learner who is always trying to find ways to be a more effective teacher. I hold degrees from Lee University, Temple University, and Indiana University - Jacobs School of Music, am a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, am a Certified Teacher through the Music Teacher National Association, and have completed addition pedagogical training with Shenandoah University’s CCM Pedagogy Seminar.
It is truly a joy to get to work with singers of all ages and experience and I would love to help you on your journey of singing.
